iPad 5 and iPad mini 2 2013 release date rumors quashed
iPad 4 and iPad mini supplies have been replenished as the iPad 5 and iPad mini 2 release date slips away
The iPad 5 and iPad mini 2 release may not be on course to be in 2013.
Best Buy has replenished its supply of the iPad mini and iPad 4, which is something that normally doesn't happen if a device is soon to be replaced by another device.
Normally, a retailer will let supplies of the device completely run dry before a new one is announced, sometimes slashing the price dramatically.
Walmart slashed the price of the iPad mini last week, leading speculators to predict the iPad mini 2 would be coming soon.
However, Best Buy is still selling the iPad mini for $329 -- the official Apple listing price.
However, the iPhone 4S and iPhone 5's prices have been slashed, suggesting the iPhone 5S or iPhone 6 is on its way. The iPhone 4S is now available for just $39 while the iPhone 5 will set you back $129 -- that's a saving of $70 on Apple's official listed price for the iPhone 5 and $60 for the iPhone 4S.
The iPad mini 2 is expected to feature a 7.9-inch retina display with iOS 7 preinstalled. We'd expect the iPad mini 2 to have dual-core A6X processor, about 1GB of RAM, Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi, the option to get built-in 4G LTE and multiple storage options.
The iPad 5 is expected to have a similar display as the iPad 4th Generation: a 9.7-inch retina display with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 and 264 pixels per inch. With the next-generation A7 processor, some boosted RAM, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, the option to have 4G LTE and available in a variety of storage options, including 16GB, 32GB and 64GB, it should definitely be the best iPad yet.
