iPad Mini 2 incoming? Walmart's slashed prices suggest so
The iPad Mini 2 could be on its way after Walmart cut the price of the iPad Mini by $30
The iPad Mini 2 could launch in a couple of months following a price cut at Walmart.
The iPad Mini 2's price has been cut from $329 to $299 and although $30 doesn't seem to be too much of a hefty price cut, it's enough to get the rumor mill started again.
Price cuts and no replenished store supplies usually mean a retailer is readying the replacement of a device.
Rumors around the iPad Mini 2 release date vary from the end of 2013 to the start of 2014.
Last week, it was reported that the iPad Mini 2 had been delayed until the third quarter of this year, while the iPhone 6 production had started.
As usual, this speculation should always be treated with a bit of suspicion.
The iPad Mini 2 has been said to keep the same form factor as the original iPad Mini, but it is likely to have a much better Retina display, with a dual-core A6X processor powering the show, about 1GB of RAM, Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi, the option to get built-in 4G LTE and multiple storage options.
In terms of pricing, we're expecting the iPad mini 2 to debut at $329 for the 16GB model, while 32GB and 64GB versions will sell for $429 and $529 if you take Apple's traditional pricing structure into account.
