After taking a look at our list you'll be an HTC One pro. For the full break-down and all our tips and tricks, read on for more. This list will have you rocking and rolling in no time.

Browse the Web in full-screen mode

Perhaps one of the most tedious things about smartphones, in general, is browsing the web. It’s so damn tiny that you either have squint or constantly zoom in to see what the hell is actually going on. Thankfully, you can make the whole Web-browsing experience less tedious on your HTC One by tapping the top of the screen to reveal the URL bar. When you see it, tap the three dot icon. From there, select Settings > General and then check the “Fullscreen” box.

Turn your HTC One into a TV remote

Perhaps it’s not the most groundbreaking function, but did you know that you can transform your HTC One into a remote control for your TV? And you can do easily without the hassle of having to scour the Google Play Store for a decent third-party app. HTC’s One comes with its own pre-loaded HTC TV app which enables your handset to control your television. You’ll never need to worry about losing the remote again.

Save power with Sleep Mode

If you don’t want to worry about having to charge your device constantly, save power by enabling Sleep Mode when it’s not in use. Enable Sleep Mode on your Galaxy S4 by going to Settings > Power > Sleep Mode.

Snap lively shots with HTC’s Zoe

The HTC One comes with a little something called Zoe. While Zoe might sound like a cute, quirky actress currently starring in Fox’s New Girl, it’s actually a new camera feature. Zoe lets you capture a few seconds of video and 20 different images to help bring your photos to life. To enable Zoe mode, tap the camera icon (located on the left-middle side of your screen). You’ll be able to easily tell when you’re capturing a shot with Zoe, because the camera icon will slowly change color as it’s in progress.

How to tweak your HTC One apps menu

If you don’t like the way your HTC One app menu is organized, you can customize it to suit your tastes. By default, the HTC One displays three app icons in each row, but if you want to maximize on space, you can actually add a fourth to each row. on my HTC one I had to double click home button for multitasking. nothing ive experienced before but found the answer after some digging.

Correction for #2, taking a screen-shot: It's the same as the early HTC EVOs..It's not "power & volume down for 2 seconds", it's "power and HOME", then the screen will flash. Please post correct info :/

Not sure where dude is getting some of his tips from. Multitasking tip is wrong, it's double tap on home button as holding the same button down launches Google now.

Thanks guys, fixed!

thanks!

On my HTC one its "power and volume down" Dont know about yours

Yep, you have to double click for multitasking. I kind of hate that and wish there was a dedicated button

It does both.

Hey just go into settings and under the wireless column click on the thing that says "more" and then you'll see an NFc switch.

Hey guys it is both all android phones have the default setting of the home button with lock. But HTC sense, the skin that HTC puts on their phones, also gives you the ability of volume down with lock. I'm pretty sure but it might be reversed.

I have this same thought, on some phones (like the Droid Razr) its like power and volume up for about 10 seconds, but I am not sure about for the HTC One

Hi, what does holding the power button and volume up button do.. I've done this and the home and back button flash. I once pressed the home button like 5 times and it took that many screenshots lol.. what else is this function for?

Dont worry I see what it does.. just resets.. should've read the comments before j posted.

Ok, so the bar at the top of my HTC one that shows the time, signal, icons, and provides the pull down refresh feed has disappearded. Does anyone know how to get it back

Save power with Sleep Mode

If you don’t want to worry about having to charge your device
constantly, save power by enabling Sleep Mode when it’s not in use.
Sleep Mode will automatically switch off 3G connectivity once your phone
has been inactive for a period of time. While it may not seem like
much, this can actually save you a ton of power. Enable Sleep Mode on
your Galaxy S4 by going to Settings > Power > Sleep Mode.

Is there any way to turn off the "feature" that changes the sound setting from Silent or Vibrate to Normal when you touch the volume keys on the side of the phone?

Those volume buttons are exactly where my fingers sit when I hold the phone and I'm constantly changing the phone settings without intending to and without realizing it. Very embarrassing to be in the library and have the phone ring loudly when I was sure I'd set it to vibrate!
