HTC Ville leaked - 4G HSPA+, Beats Audio, and Android 4.0 in a super thin body
The HTC Ville is set to launch in April with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and, for the first time, HTC Sense 4.0
We here at KYC have been waiting for a dual-core S4 Snapdragon device to make an appearance for quite sometime and thankfully, our wishes were answered when BGR posted a photo and details of the S4-powered HTC Vile.
While the image below might be a bit dull, make no mistake, the Vile is a massive device and extremely powerful. It’s going to feature a 4.3-inch qHD display and a dual-core S4 Snapdragon processor. What's more, the device will also have 4G HSPA+.
In addition to those specifications, the HTC Ville will house an 8-megapixel backside-illuminated camera, just like the one on the HTC Edge, with 1080p HD video capture support. We’re told the handset won’t feature NFC due to the metal construction of the case, and it will be less than 8mm thick.
As for the name, HTC Vile probably isn't a retail name, but a codename, PCMag reports. Will just have to wait and see on that.
While these specs are somewhat high-end right now, rivaling those found in the HTC Vivid, Droid RAZR, Droid Bionic, Samsung Galaxy Nexus, and numerous others coming this fall, the Ville will probably be a mid-tier phone by April 2012, especially if HTC is launching the rumored quad-core HTC Edge beast before then.
At this point, no launch date has been confirmed, but the Vile is rumored to launch sometime in April of 2012. The device is expected to launch on either T-Mobile or AT&T.
launch might not happen at all,
Anyone out there plan on waiting it out for the Holiday?
