Press shot of T-Mobile's Nokia Lumia 710 surfaces
T-Mobile's Nokia Lumia 710 will likely be the first Nokia Windows Phone to launch in the U.S. and should be arriving sometime in early 2012
A press shot of a Windows Phone-powered Nokia Lumia 710 with T-Mobile USA branding has leaked online. The handset is expected to be announced at a joint T-Mobile/Nokia event on December 14th in New York City.
First posted by technology site PocketNow, T-Mobile's Nokia Lumia 710 is said to have a 3.7-inch SLCD display and a 1.2GHz single-core processor. The phone will be available in black and white variants, reports IntoMobile.
The branded Lumia 710 is just another piece of evidence suggesting Nokia's mid-tier Windows Phone is coming to T-Mobile USA. The Wall Street Journal reported on Friday that the device would be announced by T-Mobile and Nokia on the 14th. T-Mobile branding also showed up on the Lumia 710 in a user guide from the FCC.
PockeNow couldn't provide an exact date as to when T-Mobile USA might launch the Lumia 710, other than that it might arrive soon. Recent rumors have indicated a possible January date, so we should see it soon.
If a T-Mobile Lumia 710 does end up being revealed at the December 14th gathering, it'll be the first Nokia-made Windows Phone to come to a U.S. carrier.
