Nokia Lumia 900/Ace to receive $100 million dollar marketing push for AT&T launch
Microsoft and its partners plan to launch the Nokia Lumia 900/Ace with a mighty $100 million advertising campaign when the device launches later this year
Microsoft, Nokia and AT&T are planning a $100 million marketing campaign for the Nokia Lumia 900/Ace when it debuts in the U.S later this year. While the Ace isn’t yet official just yet, several images have leaked and it has been rumored for some time that Nokia and AT&T will unveil the smartphone during the CES next week.
According to a report by BetaNews, the Lumia 900/Ace will hit AT&T store shelves in March where it will receive “hero” status. It will get a major carrier push that no Windows Phone device has had before.
At this point, it is still unclear how Microsoft, AT&T and Nokia will split the $100 million in marketing, but its very possible Microsoft will be ponying up all the cash. AT&T, though, is expected to push the phone hard in stores.
Hopefully, we will find out more when the device is actually unveiled. The Lumia 900/Ace is expected to be one of the biggest devices to come out of CES 2012.
