Last year's Sprint Google Nexus device, the Samsung Nexus S 4G, is finally getting some Ice Cream Sandwich love

Sprint will reportedly release the official Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Nexus S 4G later today, according to a new report by Android Police. Android 4.0 has already been available for the GSM Nexus S for quite some time.

The update, which is the standard over-the air, includes a great deal of improvements with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. These include enhancements to the UI, an updated version of Android system apps, and a much more advanced camera app, amongstĀ other things. The update will also include much improved battery life.

Per usual, there will be manual update option available if you don't feel like waiting for the OTA, and you can find the download link and instructions here as soon as it's discovered.

If you're not one for manual updates, Google and Sprint usually roll these out in phases, so you shouldn't have to way too long.

I would imagine most would get the Android 4.0.4 by the end of the next week.
