Leaked photo of the Samsung Galaxy S III surfaces online
An image purported to be a test unit of the Samsung Galaxy S III gives us our closest look yet at the device
An image of what is purported to be the Samsung Galaxy S III has surfaced online.
The image comes from a Polish blog OPDA, which claims to have received it from someone testing the device. As you can see, the icons have been scrambled, presumably to leave a little something to the imagination and prevent the tester from getting caught.
If it is the real deal, it looks similar to another leaked shot that surfaced back in March. As BGR notes, it looks quite a bit like the Samsung Galaxy Note tablet/smartphone hybrid with its 5.3-inch display.
Earlier reports claim the Samsung Galaxy S III would feature a 4.7-4.8-inch 1080p display with a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera with Android 4.0 on board.
While this image doesn't really refute any of those claims, it should be taken with a grain of salt.
At this point, the Galaxy S III has not been offically announced, but rumors suggest May 22nd as a possible release date.
