Nokia patches Lumia 900 connection glitch
Nokia has moved quickly to solve a software fault that has been plaguing early adopters of its Lumia 900 smartphone
Smartphone manufacturer Nokia has released a software update which solves the data connection issues that have been plaguing users of its Lumia 900 device, and is maintaining its $100 credit offer to anyone who already owns the phone or purchases it before April 21st.
Many users who bought the Windows Phone powered device when it was released over the Easter weekend were less than impressed to discover a serious software flaw which caused the Lumia 900 to consistently lose its data connection, and Nokia has acted quickly to address users complaints.
The manufacturers initial 'goodwill' offer of a $100 credit to usrs suffering from the issue effectively made the 4G device free of charge, and the company has moved to reassure wary customers by extending the offer beyond the rollout of this sofware update.
So, if you were unsure whether to take a chance and pick up the smartphone you can now capitalise on Nokia's public Mea culpa and get your mitts on one without spending a cent!
The update can be applied using Microsoft's Zune software and is available from today.
