HTC J makes brief appearance
Don't blink because you might miss the next appearance of the HTC J
A new HTC smartphone named the 'J' (or ISW13HT) made a fleeting appearance on the official site of HTC Japan yesterday, before being promptly pulled minutes later. But thankfully, Japanese site Sumahon!! was on hand to pick up the mistake and snag some information.
According to the page, the device will come packing Android 4.0, Sense 4.0 and Qualcomm's blisteringly fast dual-core 'Krait' CPU.
The 'J' will also feature 1GB RAM, 16GB storage, support for MicroSD and a 4.3-inch qHD screen and, surprisingly, given recent announcements, it may also come packaged with Beats Audio headphones.
Other information indicates that the 'J' will launch with an 1810mAh cell and support for Sony's FeliCa contactless payment solution, which may or may not be stepped up to NFC if the device migrates beyond the land of the rising sun.
Measurements are given as 132mm x 66mm x 10mm, and the device tips the scale at 142g, making it a pretty hefty piece of kit.
As we mentioned, there's no word on whether this device will end up launching anywhere but Japan, but we live in hope.
Until then there's always the HTC One X.
