White LG Optimus 4X HD caught on camera
A white version of LG's forthcoming Optimus 4X HD has been snapped in the wild
LG's Optimus 4X HD is due to drop this summer and a white version of the quad-core powered smartphone has turned up in pictures, looking a little more alluring than the black version we've been presented with up until now.
Internally, the device is exactly the same as its darker counterpart, with a 1.5GHz quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 chip, 4.7-inch IPS display, 8-megapixel primary camera, 1GB RAM and Android 4.0. But the different color detracts from the boxy shape of the device, lending it a much more pleasing aesthetic.
The Optimus 4X HD will also feature 16GB of on-board storage, a 1.3-megapixel secondary camera and, at just 8.9mm, it's razor thin, an attribute that is likely to win the device some admirers when it hits stores.
The device is expected to launch around May/June in competition with Samsung's Galaxy S III and Apple's iPhone 5. Early indications are good for the 4X HD, which has reportedly posted some positive benchmark scores in pre-release tests.
Time will tell just how competitive the device will be, but we're keeping one eye on this device, as we think it could be the summer's surprise package.
