Google's next developers conference is slated for spring 2013. Get ready to register

Dates for Google's I/O developers conference are officially penned in for 2013. The search giant announced Tuesday -- via Twitter -- that it will kick off its annual event in San Francisco on May 15 and will wrap it all up on May 17.

Registration details have yet to be announced, but Google noted that will all be squared away early next year. And that's just a few weeks away, so bust out your calendar app and get ready for some Key Lime Pie lovin' (the code name for the next Android OS), because it's probably gonna happen. Maybe. Look, we're really not certain since Google's being all tight-lipped about it, but we're keeping our fingers crossed.

Whatever Google chooses to reveal at this one, it's gonna be tough to beat the I/O 2012 conference. But we're stoked to see how the company will try to trump last year's Project Glass skydiving stunt.

While you're waiting, let us know what you're hoping to see during I/O 2013. Also, you can recap highlights from last year's event, and stay up to date on all things Google I/O here
