We round up the best entertainment apps for your iPad, including StubHub, Netflix, Oscar experience and StumbleUpon

Oscar experience (Free)

It's awards time of year, so why not check out one of the biggest awards ceremonies of all time? Oscar Experience includes information on all the nominees, including movie trailers, exclusive videos and photos.

It'll also allow you to vote for your favorites and on the evening of the Oscars (Feb. 24), you can watch the results come in and follow all the winners backstage.

StubHub (Free)

StubHub is one of the best ways to buy sold out tickets on the Web, so why not download it for your iPad too?

This app puts all the offers and deals at your fingertips that you'll find on the StubHub website when you're on the go. You can download tickets you've purchased, edit listings if you're a seller and search for tickets if you're lacking inspiration, too.

StumbleUpon (Free)

If you're a StumbleUpon user, there's no better way to view, post and manage StumbleUpon than this app, specifically designed for the iPad.

On the colorful interface you'll find recommendations of articles to read, videos to watch and photos to view, personalized for you.

The new update adds a whole load of features too, including the ability to view other users' lists, facts about each recommended page and instant refresh.

Netflix (free, subscription required)

The Netflix iPad app means you can watch any of the movies or TV shows you watch at home, on the move.

The iPad's large screen makes it perfect for streaming media and Netflix is the perfect companion for this.

Netflix offers a one month free trial, so if you're not already signed up, now's the time to join. Warning: You will become addicted!

Braindex (free)

If you're bored, Braindex will certainly make life more fun. It's a trivia game where you play against celebrities to test your knowledge.

The format is a gameshow where you're asked questions by the host. You can invite your friends to join in too, to test who has the bigger brain.

Earn brain cells to work your way up the chart and hit the top to gain full bragging rights.
