HTC M7 to launch a week before Mobile World Congress on February 19
The HTC M7 could be launched a week before Mobile World Congress if rumors are to be believed
The HTC M7 could launch a full week aheaad of Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, according to one Twitter user.
The source in question who has 'years of work in the field' and 'has connections', tweeted:
'[Exclusive] HTC M7 to be launched during a dedicated event on February 19th, probably in London, not at #MWC13'
The HTC M7 was first rumored to launch at Mobile World Congress, as per most big mobile launches in the first quarter of the year.
However, taking queues form Samsung's Galaxy S3 announcement last year, it's pretty likely HTC is concerned the launch will be overshadowed by the slew of announcements at Mobile World Congress.
We can understand if that is the issue - after all, there are a huge number of announcements rumored for the show, including the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 and Sony Xperia devices, plus a load of smaller launches too and as this in HTC's flagship, we're sure the company wants to make it a highlight.
The HTC M7 has leaked all over the web recently, with rumors suggesting it will include a 4.7-inch screen with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 13-megapixel camera and 32GB internal storage.
The HTC M7 will also apparently launch across Sprint, AT&T and Verizon, although rumors around T-Mobile taking on the device haven't yet hit.
