LG 5.5-inch Optimus G Pro is official
Will LG's 5.5-inch Optimus G Pro make an appearance at Mobile World Congress 2013?
We've heard quite a bit about LG's Optimus G Pro now, and now the 5.5-inch version is official. The handset features a "2.5D effect" curved glass front (whatever the heck that even means -- details are sparse at the moment).
The phone will also sport a full HD display, quad-core processor and the same back casing as the original Optimus G. LG has yet to announce a release date for the new device, but we're guessing it'll surface at Mobile World Congress 2013, slated for Feb. 25 through Feb. 28 in Barcelona.
Just yesterday we heard about the company's updated Optimus L series lineup including the L3II, L5II and L7II. The L7II will be the fancier of the three with a 4.3-inch WVGA IPS screen, 1GHz dual-core processor, 768MB of RAM, 4GB of storage and an 8-megapixel camera. It's expected to run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
As for the other two Optimus L handsets, the L5II will sport a smaller screen at four-inches, with the L3II measuring in at just 3.2-inches. Pricing and availability has yet to be revealed for all of LG's aforementioned smartphones, but we're likely to find out everything we need to know during MWC 2013.
