LG unveils Optimus G Pro
More information has emerged regarding LG's Optimus G Pro including the device’s spec and proposed release dates
Late last week we got a glimpse of what the upcoming LG Optimus G Pro would offer, but LG hasn’t stopped there, the new week brings new information on the upcoming device, including its proposed spec and release information – and from what we can see users are in for a treat with this phablet as it packs some of the hottest tech on the market.
The Optimus G Pro will reportedly launch this week in Korea and the device packs what can only be called a stellar spec sheet which includes the first Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor we’ve seen in the wild, alongside 2GB RAM, and a 400PPI 5.5-inch full HD screen.
Other noteworthy features include a 13-megapixel primary camera, 2.1-megapixel secondary, 32GB of on-board storage and version 4.2.1 of Android Jelly Bean right out of the box – not to mention a micro SDXC slot for expansion.
The device, which is clearly aimed at taking on Samsung’s Galaxy Note 2, packs a battery worthy of the task too, and the 3140mAh cell packed into the smart-looking Optimus G Pro should provide more than enough juice to keep those high-end internals ticking over for a day and a half at the very least.
Users in Korea will be able to snap this bad-boy up from Wednesday for the princely sum of $897 but U.S. smartphone fanatics will have to wait a bit longer, as the device isn’t slated to wash-up on our sun-baked shores until Q2, but that isn’t too far away.
In the mean time we’ll be able to get a full hands-on experience at Mobile World Congress, which kicks-off next week in Barcelona, so stay tuned to The Full Signal and we’ll bring you all the news about this device and more next week!
Now, where did we put our passports?!
