Kyocera Event launches on Virgin Mobile
The Kyocera Event has a 3.5-inch screen, Android 4.0 a 1GHz processor and no contract
The Kyocera Event has just landed on Virgin Mobile and it looks like it will provide a powerful Android punch with no long-term commitment.
The Kyocera Event comes with a 1GHz processor, a 3.5-inch touch screen, a 3.2-megapixel camea, expandable memory up to 32GB, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi and the ability to connect to Virgin Mobile's 3G network. It launches with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and it comes loaded iwth Swype and the Virgin Mobile ID packs.
While the specs aren't even close to some of the other recently-introduced devices, you have to remember that buying the Kyocera Event also means that you won't have to sign a two-year contract. The Event also costs about $80, so you're getting a decent handset for the price.
As for Virgin Mobile, the carrier uses Sprint's network, so if you have good Sprint reception in your region, Virgin Mobile may work well for you. It can be quite a bargain too, as plans start at $35 for 300 minutes and unlimited messages and data.
