New iPhones and a mystery device turn up in Apple TV firmware
New model numbers - "iPhone 3,2", "iPhone 3.3" and device "20547" - mean new products are on the horizon
References to two unknown iPhone models and a mysterious piece of new hardware have turned up in Apple TV firmware, 9to5 Mac reports.
We know the iPhone 4 is referred to as the "iPhone 3," in Apple's iOS code - so what is "iPhone 3,2" and "iPhone 3.3"? The most logical answer is that the numbers represent iPhones for Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile - but there is no way of knowing for sure at this point.
An even more mysterious finding is a product with the ID "20547". It could be anything - maybe even the rumored 7-inch iPad.
Again, this is all speculation, but we hope to know more by the end of the year. Maybe even in time for the holidays.
