After several thousand complaints, AT&T has finally decided to enable HSUPA access on the Motorola ATRIX 4G

Motorola has finally announced that the HSUPA-enabling ATRIX 4G update has begun rolling out to devices.

Along with the HSUPA, software update v4.1.83 for the ATRIX includes several updates that will improve both the speed and performance of the dual-core device. The update also surely patches several bugs.

Back when the ATRIX 4G first launched, AT&T had disabled HSUPA on the device from the start. Only after large numbers of users gathered on forums to complain of the slow upload speeds did AT&T decided to give users HSUPA data access. Thousands of customers even signed a petition to express their frustration.

The update is expected to finish rolling out in the next few weeks.
