Galaxy Note 3: 5 features I want to see

Samsung's much anticipated Note 3 is coming soon and here's what's on my wish list

The Galaxy Note 3 is coming this week perhaps, and the rumors continue to fly about Samsung's latest and greatest phablet. Will it have a completely new, radical design? Will the camera be top notch? Will it have Galaxy Gear support? We really don’t know at all because we've only heard rumors.

However, despite not knowing, that sure hasn't stopped me from updating my list of most-wanted one last time. These ideas come to me after seeing and hearing rumors, as well as a few small features I have wanted to see for a while. The five features below are not listed in any particular order. As always, feel free to agree or disagree.

Aluminum unibody design

We've been hearing rumors for a while, but one big thing we've heard that has popped up multiple times is that the Galaxy Note 3 will have a metal frame. It's unclear what this means really, but we've heard it will basically be a total rip of the design featured on the HTC One. This is one rumor I really hope is true. Samsung's phones and phablets have been too cheap looking and feeling for far too long.

Android 4.3 Jelly Bean

We've heard a lot with regards to software, but I'd like to see Android 4.3 launch on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Now I know it's unlikely, especially because of how customized the Note's software has been. It would certainly be nice though. What do you think? Will the Note 3 launch with Jelly Bean?

Custom themes

Keeping customizations in mind, it'd be great if the Note 3 let users apply custom themes, which totally change colors, widgets and sounds available. These have been on custom ROMs for years now, but again, they need to come to the stock experience and a phone like the Note 3. Unfortunately, I'm betting we won't see this as it takes deep level, root access. I'm still hoping for it, though.

Amazing camera

With Motorola looking to impress with the Note, it’s likely that the camera will be one of the areas that the company will concentrate on. The device is expected to launch with a 13-megapixel camera that won't have optical image stabilization. I'm sort of hoping for it to be a bit better than the Galaxy S4 shooter.

Stunning, 3-day battery life

The battery on the Note 2 was awesome, but I'm really hoping the Note 3 battery is even better and lasts longer. It has been reported that the Galaxy Note 3 will come with over 4,000 mAh battery and if true it should last days. This is my most wanted feature and something that is very important to me.

What about you? What do you want to see on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3?
