Using Samsung's S Pen can be great fun, especially if you draw or edit photos. It can also, of course, be useful for note taking and possibly even creating presentations.

What's that? You don't know how to use Samsung S Pen on your Galaxy Note? No problem! Our quick guide below will have you mastering all the S Pen gestures, shortcuts, and more.

To start using your Samsung S Pen, follow the guide below.

S Memo

The S Memo let users quickly open a note screen so you can draw or write. The S Memo window can be called up quickly using a shortcut.

  1. Press the pen button.
  2. Double tap anywhere on the Galaxy Note screen. The note will pop up over whatever you're currently viewing.

The Menu shortcut

  1. Press the pen button.
  2. Swipe upwards on the touchscreen.

The menu screen will come up from the bottom of the display.

The Cancel shortcut

  1. Press the pen button.
  2. Swipe the pen across the screen horizontally. This will cancel out whatever task you were doing.

The Screenshot shortcut

  1. Press the pen button.
  2. Hold and long press the pen on the screen.
